THANKSGIVING 2008

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM

Each year at WARM we provide a special set of Thanksgiving groceries to families with whom we are currently working. Each set of 3 bags contains the items listed below. Additionally, each family receives a $20 gift certificate so that they may purchase a turkey and other perishable items.

We ask that you deliver these items to WARM, 175 E. Broadway on Monday, November 17^th. Please call the WARM office at 899-0196 to receive your drop-off time.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PACKING ITEMS FOR THANKSGIVING

TO PACK SETS: Please use doubled paper grocery bags numbered #1 through #3. If you are packing multiple sets, please make sure that all bags marked #1 are filled with the same items and the same for bags #2 and #3. Also, please identify the church or organization providing the set on each of the bags. Due to space limitations we may need to stack the bags. PLEASE PACK ALL CRUSHABLES IN BAG #3.

EACH THANKSGIVING SET SHOULD CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING:

White potatoes - 5lb. Bags
Onions - 3lb. Bags
Apples - 3 lb. Bag
Sugar - 5lb. Bag
Flour – 5lb. Bag
Sweet potatoes - 2 cans
Green beans - 2 cans
Cranberry sauce - 1 can
Corn - 2 cans
Noodles - 1 bag
Instant Stuffing mix - 2 boxes
Gravy - 2 jars

Snacks – 1 bag (pretzels or chips)
Kool-Aid - 4 packs
Cookies - 2 packages
Cream of mushroom soup - 1 can
Cream of chicken soup - 1 can
Mayonnaise - 1 jar
Cake mix – 1 box
Cooking oil – 1 bottle
Pancake mix - 1
Pancake Syrup - 1
Toilet tissue - 4-roll package
Dishwashing soap - 1 bottle

In addition to the above, please provide a gift certificate in the amount of $20.00 with each set. Please do not place gift certificates in the bags; gift certificates may be given to WARM staff upon delivery.
